PC Manifest Server is installed on the server where it uses the built-in Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) to gather information from the computers on the network. For Windows 2000/XP, no client software is required on the computers that are inventoried. PC Manifest silently scans the computers on the domain enumerating hardware and software assets, compiling raw data to be organized and presented by the PC Manifest Viewer.
