How to use Central Control to upgrade Clean Slate Version 3.0.
Answer
Using Central Control to upgrade Clean Slate Version 3.0:
1. Download the file.
2. Open the Fortres Security Interface on a client computer.
3. Open the Central Control window.
4. Select the computers to upgrade.
5. Right click and select Assign Pending Operation | Upgrade...
6. Indicate the location of the upgrade file.
7. At this point, the client computer will copy the upgrade installation file to the server. The service will leave a message for each selected client to copy the file from the server to the client computer.
8. Once the client computer has received the file (pending operation is NO), select the computers again.
9. Right click and select Assign Pending Operations | Restart.
10. When the update interval expires, the client computers will reboot and begin installing the new build.
11. When the installation is finished, the client computers will reboot themselves automatically.
Note: It is currently not possible to upgrade through Central Control on Windows 98/Me when using TweakUI to autologon the computers.
